A Scriblet gives you all of the information you need to create links to an article you found in Scribit so that you can send it around to your friends, colleagues, customers, or prospects.  The link can include the title, snippet, and thumbnail for the content you want to share.  As always, the link you are sending around will take people back to your site to view the article or video you have selected.

When you are viewing an article within Scribit you will now see the "Get Scriblet" link in the action bar just above the article title.

If you click "Get Scriblet" and for an article that you haven't already posted to your site, you'll see a confirmation dialog letting you know that the article will be posted to your site.  What this means is that the article will now be available for viewing in your syndication template on your website.  It doesn't mean that the article will get shared to any social channels or posted to any of your recommendation widgets.  So, just click "Ok" to proceed.

Next the Scriblet information will be displayed.  This includes the Title, Url, Short Url, Snippet, and 4 different image sizes for the thumbnail.  You can use any or all of these pieces of information to create a link to the article.

The first thing I'm going to do in this example is select the 150x84 thumbnail.  I click the preview icon beside that image size and the preview will appear.  Then I will copy that image.

Now I open an email that I want to send and paste the image into the email.
Copy Paste Image.png

Next I'm going to copy the title of the article from the Snippet.
Copy Title.png

Then I'll paste the title into my email.
Copy Paste Title.png

Now I need to copy the url so that I can make the title a link.  I'm going to copy the short url, but you can use either.
Copy Url.png

Then I want to make the title I put in my email into a link:

Finally, I think I'll include a snippet from the article in my email.  I just go back to the Scriblet and copy the snippet:
Copy Snippet.png

Then I paste the snippet into my email
Copy Paste Snippet.png

I'll add a few words at the beginning of my email and there you have it!  I can send this email to whomever I want and they can click the hyperlinked title to read the entire article on my website!

You could also do the steps above to add links to multiple articles within the same email or you could simply copy the title and short url to send links without the image and snippet.  It's all up to you!
